Express Yourself

It's Carnival! The time of the year when we can most easily express ourselves without having to conform to the trends of urban society.

Carnival is my favourite time of the year. As members of the urban society, we tend to abide by strict societal 'rules' throughout the year. At Carnival-time, the game changes. There are no rules. We can be whoever or whatever we want to be at carnival-time. At this time we learn to appreciate and value our culture for what it is. Whereas, during other times of the year, we tend to conform to trends rather than embracing our culture.

Display yourself as who you are, not who society wants you to be.
